So it begins......

After Spencer's last and Dayne's first Primary Program, we left to start our week long vacation to Disneyland. When we left, it was snowing and the snow followed us till about Beaver. We arrived in St. George around 10:15. The boys grabbed the second bedroom which left Dayne and Makayleigh sharing a hide a bed. That lasted about 15 minutes. I ended up on the hide a bed with Dayne while mom and Makayleigh got the bed.

Halloween 2010

We were able to stay home and hand out candy because Sarah Cady took the kids around. Truly 3 Warriors and a Fairy Princess.

Here is Spencer. At ease solider. Spencer hit every home in our subdivision.

Here is Austin. Notice his BIG foot.

Here is Dayne. The original Dark Knight.

Here is Makayleigh. Tinkerbell never looked so cute.

It was raining lightly all night. Our tradition of showing Thriller on the screen had to be adjusted slightly. We played it on the Mickey Mouse TV on the porch.

Spencer's First BYU Pow Wow

Spencer is attending his first BYU merit badge Pow Wow today. He is taking Art, Crime Prevention, and Citizenship in the World. He is the only Scout from his troop to attend so I will be spending the day with him. It is always fun to be on the campus.

Spencer will be known as Larry Goodwin for this Pow Wow. Thanks Mom.

Spencer was asked go draw a picture that tells a story. Guess what his story he told.

Halloween Softball Tournament

Softball is done for another year. We just finished our St. George "Halloween" tournament. We were 1-4. Not our best efforts. I had a rough first day. I was 3-8 and was robbed on two hits. I played better on Saturday. I was 10-13 with a home run. I was again robbed by a diving catch towards the fence which would have tied the game against the best team we played. Oh well, maybe we will play in January again. For now, I am happy to be done.

Pumpkin Patch

We stopped at Evans Farm to let the kids pick up a pumpkin and enjoy the activities. The Kids were able to tide the horses. There were not a lot of people there and they were able to tide the horses twice. I was surprised at how well Makayleigh did. She rode it like a pro and Dayne's had to ride the biggest one.

Austin's Injury

On Saturday, we picked up some railroad ties so we could use them for a planter and in our garden.  We left them in the driveway because they were too heavy and we could not find any help to move them.  Well Monday, Austin was asked if he was strong enough to lift it.  He was.  But... When he dropped it, it bounced off the driveway and hit his foot.  A trip to the doctor followed and now he has a cracked bone in his foot and we will find out on Friday if he needs a cast.
